Jon Morton, P.Eng., MBA, PMP
Principal & Managing Partner
Jon has a track record of success in both the public and private sector. He began his career in consulting engineering, where he managed projects and completed designs for large and small commercial sites and redevelopment projects, industrial subdivisions and residential developments. His primary area of speciality was in water resources and developed innovative LID and water balance approaches and approvals on a number of projects in the GTA. Jon also worked on sanitary, water, storm sewer and roadway design. Jon also managed commercial redevelopment and residential projects in the GTA.
Jon has also worked in the public sector where he provided expertise on infrastructure planning, design & construction; including Class EAs, servicing and transportation studies, road reconstruction and widening, water and wastewater conveyance projects, and wastewater treatment - from planning and budget approvals through design, construction and commissioning. Jon was also involved in various municipal activities, including the Municipal Engineers Class EA Monitoring Committee and Chair of the OPWA Sub-Committee on Utility Coordination.
Jon also has experience in general contracting - specializing in Design-Build projects for commercial, retail, institutional and multi-residential clients, leading corporate operational functions and setting the strategic direction for the company.
Jon is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. He attended the University of Waterloo and specialized in Civil & Environmental Engineering, achieving Honours Bachelor of Applied Science degree while actively participating and leading various volunteer initiatives including UW Engineering Society Directorships. He later completed a Master of Business Administration Degree with a specialization in Commercial and Retail Development from Ted Rogers School of Management (Ryerson University).
